Project Description
Royal Deck was hired to design and build a raised deck in Sugar Hill, Georgia. The objective was to create an extension directly off the kitchen to enhance the homeowners’ outdoor living experience.
The homeowners wanted a raised deck that would allow for an easy transition from the kitchen to the outdoors, complementing an existing ground-level patio used for BBQing and lounging. They emphasized the need for a design that was usable and also looked great, choosing a color palette that matched with their home’s exterior. Additionally, safety was a key concern, as they required railings on the stairs to accommodate the mobility needs of elderly family members.
During the planning phase, Royal Deck worked closely with the homeowners to select composite materials that were easy to care for and would last longer than natural wood. The layout was carefully planned to ensure it aligned perfectly with the kitchen exit and integrated smoothly with the lower patio area, providing a dual-level outdoor space that was both functional and attractive.
The final design featured a spacious deck with composite decking in a color that complemented the home’s siding, creating a cohesive look. The white and black railing around the deck and stairs provided a modern contrast while keeping the deck safe and accessible. The strategic placement of the stairs allowed for easy access to the lower patio, making the entire backyard more usable for any type of outdoor gathering.
The homeowners were extremely satisfied with their new deck in Sugar Hill, GA, particularly appreciating how it made their kitchen an even more central part of their home’s social area. This project highlighted Royal Deck’s ability to customize designs to meet specific client needs while ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. The added features, like stair railings and the thoughtful integration with existing structures, show Royal Deck’s attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction.
